If its gas then Tylenol wont help. I would try Gripe Water or Mylicon drops. Try doing some skin to skin or even a warm bath. My baby like a pacifire when his tummy hurts.

I don't think baby Tylenol will help a tummy ache. Does she have a fever? I'm pretty sure it's not recommended to give Tylenol to an infant younger then 3 months without talking to a ped first.
What all have you tried? Sometimes babies will suddenly want more milk and although you feel sure they have had enough they are actually still very hungry. If baby is spitting up this would not be the case. Gas is another very common source of fussiness in newborns and can be very difficult to relief. I agree with pp that you could try gripe water and gas drops. Also a gentle belly rub and "bicycle legs" can help. I guessing you have have tried at least some of these things so to more directly answer your question.... I don't think Tylenol would help tummy issues. If LO is is so much pain they need Tylenol then it would be important to find out what the source of the pain is. If nothing at all is calming your baby down you should call your pediatrician and talk to a doctor or nurse on call. Sometimes babies cry relentlessly and we never know why and nothing serious is actually wrong but especially at the newborn stage and if you really have tried everything you can to sooth baby with no success then you should make a call.
I've had a couple moments like that and not known what she needed. I just cuddled and burped her. Would feel her pass some gas and then she'd calm down and fall asleep. Good luck and I hope you figure out what she needs!
Yeah, no Tylenol w/o specific orders from your doctor before 3 mo. And Tylenol is really just a fever reducer - it's not going to help tummy troubles.
Definitely try gripe water, bicycling legs, a warm bath (you can get in with her, hold her on your chat, and cover you both with a towel - super soothing). You can also try using a rectal thermometer to stimulate passing gas or a BM.
We had a very rough night at over a week. I described it as a tummy ache. Call your pediatrician's after hours line and they'll talk you through it. She was miserable. Looking back, I'm pretty sure it was gas. If she's not releasing gas by burping her vertically, try massaging her belly for sure.
Thanks guys, all is well today. When she has that high pitched, quivering lip, gasping for air cry like that I just can't handle it. She's just such a tiny precious little thing it makes me want to cry with her. So, it was gas. She ate close to every hour yesterday and I was having trouble getting a burp out of her later in the day. She just kept acting like she wanted to eat though! Anyway last night she filled a few diapers upppp and is much more content this morning. Poor baby was just packed full.

So glad she's doing better! It's heart breaking when they're hurting! I was crying every time when she did this.

Good luck, OP! Mystery screaming is so jarring and demoralizing to any parent. Hang in there!
