We had to say goodbye to our sweet Skippy on Wednesday.
We had his teeth cleaned and a canine pulled about a week before Julie was born and noticed that his gums started to swell shortly after. I thought it was an infection due to the surgery, so we waited it out. It just grew bigger though, so we finally decided to take him to the vet. They did a biopsy and it was cancer. :-(
Just a week after we found out he started bleeding from his nose and lost his appetite and energy, so we decided to let him go. The vet came to our house and he is now buried in our backyard.
We planted a Mountain Laurel in his honor, that way we will always have a little memorial for him. Such a sad time for us.
