As If Random Comments Aren't Enough

You guys will get a kick out of this. Now that we're several months into the "OMG do you have twins?!" comments from strangers, my 2 year old DD has started adding to the chaos this week.

Every single person we encounter in public now gets greeted with "hi! Look, I have twins!" One woman actually turned around after passing by and chased me down to look and chat. Thanks DD...I can't win...but on the plus side, she likes the newfound attention and is answering most of the FAQs for me. :)

That's adorable! And I have a feeling we might be on that path, since my 4-year-old already takes every opportunity to tell random people "my mommy has 2 babies in her belly!"

    Baby Boy #1 born 1/15/2010

    Babies #2 & #3 arriving Spring 2014 (EDD June 18)

  • My 2yo kept saying she did not want a brother or a sister. When we asked what she wanted she would say 2. This was when we thought there was only one baby! Now she is excited she is going to be a big sister of two babies and keeps saying boy over and over. She also keeps telling me she is a boy so I will take this prediction with a grain of salt. I hope when I am further along DD can answer all the questions for me!

My 3yo will tell everyone there are 2 babies in my belly as well. It just starts to get weird when she wants in on the action and tells people there are two babies in HER belly.
  • Upon meeting new people, my big one says "and these are my brothers!" All the time.

I think it came from a tip I got from a NICU nurse. She said to include the big one in all the attention the new babies would get by asking him to introduce the babies to whoever came over to see them. So at first I would always ask him to show whoever his brothers. Apparently, it stuck in a big way.

I don't mind though. It's cute to watch him so proud.

  • So cute. I don't have any older children but I do have a 2 yo nephew who got a kick out of talking about how I had two babies in my belly. Now his mom is pregnant and he was pretty disappointed that she's only having one
