So I've been feeling BH for a few weeks now. I'm 36 weeks (my ticker is wrong-oops).
Over the weekend I was in the hospital for "unexplainable" high blood pressure that was causing me to pass out. When they would monitor me, I was having regular contractions that I couldn't feel every 4-6 minutes. The docs said that if they weren't strong enough to feel they weren't doing me any good. However, I do feel about 6-10 really good, can't really talk through contractions every day. I can palpate the other contractions though.
I don't have complete faith in these doctors (long story), but was wondering if any of you had experienced this? If so, how long did this last before you were actually in labor? I know it's different for everyone and I'm not trying to start labor right now

PS: Long time lurker, I used to post much more on the June 2014 board but there seemed to be too much drama for my taste

Re: Contractions Question
You DO realize that we are in our 3rd trimester so a lot of June 14 moms lurk/post here as well, right?! Interesting...
P.S. We're in our 3rd tri too!
Now if you go out there and start an extremely insensitive AW thread on your own complaining about how you can't imagine making it until June or how you are tired of being pregnant... Then Damn right will you be called out. Especially if you are a lurker or drive by.
Now for those of you who enjoy doing drive by things. Please do continue to post on June 14 because we love a good drive by.
Sorry if you feel in unwelcomed or not supported by our board. I am also sorry that you don't trust your doctors. I think I would start there. You will be delivering soon and should have trust I'm your doctor because when it comes down to it. We always call the doctor when something does not feel right.
Not sure why you thought it would cause LESS drama to come whine about your BMB on a board many of us read already.

You've been lurking on this board so you must have seen the post a few days ago where another poster talked shit about us. It was in the title! Were you looking for sympathy or high fives because you survived the big bad J14??
It's fine to have a personal preference with board choice. I hope that you find (or have found one) that fits you. Blaming hormones is a cop out though. If you don't like honesty and snark, then you don't like it. NBD. But all the posters in this thread (with the exception of the first one) that reached out to you to support you and offer you advice were from June 14.

But to answer your question, I had a blood pressure spike at 36 weeks and went in for observation. Had the same kind of contractions on the monitor. Was dehydrated and had a UTI. Continued to have contractions for the next 3 weeks. Labor started when my water was broken at the beginning of my induction at 39 weeks. So unless you get to 5-1-1, are in a ton of pain, or have other symptoms - chill out. No need to question your care providers about BH. You'll be continued to be monitored weekly.
Thank you!
