Cloth Diapering

Microfiber

I have so many mf inserts that I decided to use some for cleaning my floor (attaches to a swiffer-esque mop.) should I wash them with my cloth diapers in tide or can I throw them in with my regular laundry? Just don't want them to repel so I wasn't sure what to do.

I would probably wash them in a separate load.  Whatever you use to clean the floor, you don't want that on your diapers.  I usually have a load of what I refer to as "dirty stuff" that I do every week or two... dog towels, mop covers, MH's yucky work or yard or hunting or fishing clothes, etc.

  • I have so much microfiber that we don't use anymore, I was thinking of doing the same. Do you use them wet or dry?
I would wash them separate from diapers for fear that the diapers would get covered in hair/dust/chemical. But I am strange and would wash them with the bathmat, towels and wash cloths which doesn't make any more sense when I think about it.

That was my thought too. Should I use my tide or should I just be able to use my regular detergent?

Edit: I dislike the smell of tide so I only use it on my diapers and that's why I'm curious if it would ok to use my all free and clear on them.

  • @lunarrainn‌ - I just attach them to my floor cleaner. Works just like a swiffer so they get wet as I clean. They don't get soaked or anything though,

  • I wash my mop cover in regular detergent. It doesn't always get bright white, but I don't really worry about it.
