Pregnant after IF

What baby names have you picked out?

I know there is a name board but I know this is the board I check most and know the stories behind names. Since many of us aren't sharing names with family and friends yet I thought it would be fun to on here. We are team green but..girls name will for sure be Paige Catherine (mn after mom) and possible boys is Phillip John. I think I'm getting excited this week for some reason:)
Started ttc may 2012 Me:32. Dh:31 SA- 4% morphology Fsh:9.1 possibly not always ovulating Hysteroscopy/lLap 7/13 resulted in polyp removal, uterine septum, and mild endo stage 1 removed 10/13 IVF #1 successful

  • I love Phillip John! And I really like Augustus but I can't help but love August a little more. Although I couldn't resist in calling him Gus Gus, I thinks it's so cute, especially if the baby is a chunk a munk.

This baby is Henry Russell. Russell is my FIL and Henry means ruler or the home. Well he is definitely our little king so it fits!
  • If we have boy/girl twins, I'm 95% sure they're going to be Wilhelmina ("Willa") and Ari. DH decided on Ari waaaay before we got pregnant and I'm okay with it. I randomly thought of Willa a few weeks ago and really like it because my name is Wendy and I was named after my dad (Wendell -- yeah, not the best name). Well, I got to looking at ancestry yesterday and turns out we had a Wilhelm and a Wilhelmina on my other side of the family (immigrants from Germany). So, yeah, pretty sure that name is sticking.

Now, if we have b/b or g/g twins, it's going to be difficult. We don't have any strong contenders for second favorite boys names (I'm kind of meh on them and DH doesn't really have much of an opinion other than he likes Ari). I've liked Caroline and Clara for girls, but not really sure how they will sound with Wilhelmina/Willa.

So, basically I'm just hoping we have b/gs. That will be so much easier.

Ooh this is fun, especially since we are not telling anyone IRL. Except of course I had to tell my mom & sister. As of right now...our girl is Harper Devin (mn after deceased family member), and our boy is Oliver, and we're still working out the kinks of his middle name. It's most likely going to be a family name on DH's side.

I love hearing everyone's names, so cute!!!

@amwenz- I love the name Paige. If my niece's middle name wasn't  Paige, it would have been top of my list.

@ThoseThreeWords- The initials ASS...that just made me chuckle!

@ katka8721- I hear you on the middle names. That's a tough one! You want to use them, but you don't want to "waste" them on middle names when they could be future first names. I say stick with them, and you will find new names you love if you have more girls in the future.

LOVE Augustus.  It's a family name for us too.  My only issue is nicknames -- not in love with Gus or Augie.  I would have used it for a middle if we hadn't prioritized using a name from my wife's family.  Maybe next time?  :)

I don't have middle names picked out yet but for a girl I like Gabriella, Leila, or Natalie for first name. I like Josh and Jacob for a boy but DH's first initial is also J and I'm debating if having the same initials will be confusing.

We've thrown around some girl names that we keep coming back to including Delilah, Isla, Julianna, and Abigail (Delilah is my fave, is that a weird name?). Boys names are much harder for us to get excited about and agree on, so far the list includes Dylan, Paul, Bradley, and Joseph, but I'm very meh on all of them. My favorite is Jack and it's a family name for me but it's too popular now so we nixed it.

I like lots of the names that you all have mentioned, especially Henry but I can't get H on board!

We have a top 5 and plan to pick after she's here. ..

    Cassidy Rose
    Katelyn "Kate" Rose
    Daphne Rose
    Evelyn Rose
    Lauren Rose

Rose is my middle name and I've always wanted to give it to my daughter!

  • A boy will almost certainly be Gabriel Joseph. (Joseph is DH's first name, his father's first name, and my dad's middle name). DH loves the nn Gabe. We're less decided with girl names, but top contenders are Tabitha Sue, Camilla Sue, Claudia Sue and Eleanor Sue. (Sue is DH's mother's name, and my mom's middle name). We had it easy with the family middle names for sure!
Trying to grow our family with both fertility treatments and adoption since March 2009
    IUIs#1-4 = BFN, IVF#1 = c/p, IVF#2 = OHSS, FET#1=BFP

  • We're kind of team green....we may know baby's sex but no one else does :-)

For a girl, her name will be Charlotte Elizabeth.  This makes me a little nervous because Charlotte is becoming pretty popular, but I've loved this name forever and have always wanted to use it despite the popularity.

A boy will be Andrew David.  I'm not sold on this MN, I'd prefer it to be a name from my family, but we still have a little time to make the final call.  First name is set in stone, though.
    Me 31 ~ DH 30
    IVF/FET #1 - BFP!!
