Hi there! I am new to cloth diapering (just jumping in and watched the 101 videos today). My baby boy, Jaxon is 2 1/2 months old. I am super interested in cloth diapering and would love to get some others opinions on brands and types. I am definitely going to be ordering a few different types to start out with to see what I like the best and what works for our family.
I am thinking about these brands, but I would love to learn more about others as well:
Lil Bums pockets
Bum Genius AIO
Kawaii Baby pockets
Alva pockets
(edited to say pockets instead of inserts)
Thanks in advance!
Re: New to Cloth Diapering
I've been addicted to cloth diapering since,.and have converted 2 of my friends. :-)
Other popular brands around here are Blueberry, Best Bottoms, SoftBums, and AppleCheeks.
I have only used BGs on your list. I use the AIOs for night time right now. The absorbency is good for us and they are a lot bulkier than the BG pockets. I love the way that BGs fit my baby girl and they are really easy to use.
I also use Apple Cheeks pockets. These diapers are AI2s so you can get 2 wears out of one pocket which makes them a bit better on the wallet. They are also easy to use and I have both microterry and bamboo inserts and both work well so far. But these ones don't fit my baby as well.
So a lot at the beginning is trial and error. It is a smart choice to try a few things and see what works for you. Good luck!
