Baby Names

Thought of you all yesterday...

A friend mentioned that he and his wife just found out they're having a boy, so I was joking with him and said I'd share an article about how parents are naming their kids crazy things these days and it would help him avoid that. Thank God I chose the examples I did (Braxlee and Seargeoh) because he said "Yeah we chose pretty normal names for our other kids, Tyler and McKinley." #:-S

  • Uh! Tyler is such a good name! How did they come up with McKinley?

I've heard it many times where we're from, so I guess maybe by that definition of normal he's right? Maybe that was his favorite president? I have no good answers for you lol.

    Whew...close one!

I've learned to keep my mouth shut, especially at work.

I know there's at least one Baylee, so I don't say much about unique spellings.  The rest are relatively tame, but they've all been used as examples on here at some time or other, like Madison, Jackson, Bryson, etc.

ETA: Then there's Edward, Thomas, Cecilia, Joshua, Lucas, Marcus, Zachary, Nickolas, Heath, Wyatt, Evyenia (not familiar with, but I think it's a Greek family name).  Not every name is like Baylee.

  • Someone at work was about to start a debate of 'a name becomes a name when it's on the birth certificate', luckily we got busy but I know not to bring it up. It came up because I said if Tyrion was a real name I would want to use it, thus her telling me everything is a real name...
