Mentioned to my doctor today that I've noticed decreased movement over the last few days. She sent me over for a NST and baby is not having any accelerations and had a few bouts of heart rate dips, so my doctor is wanting me to do a bio physical profile sometime today... In the meantime, I'm just hanging out in L&D listening to a woman in labor! Trying not to worry, but say a little prayer for us if you wouldn't mind.
Update 1:
Baby failed his biophysical profile. Scored 4/10. We will have another one at 430, and if he doesn't pass, then Dr is going to induce me.
Update 2:
I was pretty convinced that my due date would come and go before ultrasound got here, but they finally came. He scored an 8/10, which is passing and awesome, but my doctor isn't satisfied with the strip from his afternoon monitoring and is keeping me over night. She will be back in the AM and will review it then, but I will be having NSTs and biophysicals often. She wants to keep me pregnant at least until 37 weeks.
Thank you for all your prayers.. Keep em coming!
Last update:
My Dr came in this morning and let us go. Baby had one drop in heart rate last night but had some accelerations which is what she was looking for. She said we will continue to monitor baby, with NSTs and bio profile physicals. First one will be tomorrow at 9. I will see her twice weekly until further notice, and she is going to consult with another OB to see if we should consider inducing at 37 or if we should stay pregnant. Thanks all for prayers, you ladies are amazing!!!
RECENT UPDATE 5/6:
I thought instead of creating a whole new thread I would update here. I've had four BPPs since Thursday, and an extra trip to L&D on Sunday night. After my BPP yesterday, baby passed but in the last minute with lots of poking and prodding. Apparently, my amniotic fluid is decreasing, still in normal range but we don't want it to get dangerously low.
Tomorrow I am going to L&D for the day to have an OCT test, basically a stress test. Enough pitocin to start contractions to see how baby tolerates to see if he can tolerate labor. If he can't, we will have a csection tomorrow. If he can, we will stay pregnant, have a repeat BPP on Saturday and induction on Monday at 37 weeks.
So scary and exciting all at the same time!
