Rumparooz OS fit

I picked up two RaR OS covers to use with cloth inserts (not fully wrapped prefolds) on DD1 and they don't seem to lay flat very well in front. They even seem a little saggy overall (except in the leg gussets).

Haven't had any leak issues, but the elastic in front causes the top to sort of fold under and the edge of the Velcro strip rubs against her tummy.

Am I doing something wrong or is it just how RaRs fit when they aren't used with a full prefold? They got really good reviews so I was surprised to see such a strange fit.

I'm hoping they work a little better on DD2 when she arrives and grows into them.

ETA: forgot to mention, she's ~28lbs, so just over the edge into the largest rise setting.

I have the opposite problem with my OS pocket.  It gaps in the front even with the rise opened up.

I want to say someone else on here had that problem with NB RaR covers.  Maybe @chickypoo2468 ?  Maybe she has some suggestions on things to try to get a better fit?

Ok so if I'm going to be sneaky (DH thinks I spent enough already) and pick up a different OS cover to try, should I go for a Best Bottoms aplix or Thirsties Duo Wrap aplix?

Thirsties Duo with the NEW aplix gets great reviews. The old aplix was terrible though, so don't get that. IMO the best bottoms aplix is okay. Not great not terrible.

I agree with SAK. Duo wraps are two sized, not one sized.
