Sick LO, mama feeling defeated

DS is constantly sick. He gets sick and stays sick for at least a month. When he finally gets well, it only lasts for 3 weeks max. We saw an ENT yesterday and he said everything looks fine, no issues. He said DS is probably just catching viruses from DC but to get tested for allergies. I had terrible allergies as a child, but not this young. We have an appointment with an allergist in June. I just don't know what to do anymore. DS is on Singulair for allergies but it doesn't seem to help. I don't think everything is from DC. If it is then why is his immune system so weak. I know kids get sick but I feel like he's sick too much. The pedi keeps telling me it's going to get better and he will be a healthy kindergartener. I'm not sure. And after yesterday's appointment, I feel like I'm sending DS to a germ infested pit (aka DC).

Oh my gosh I feel you. DD has basically been sick since January. I counted and she has had 9 well days since her birthday. It makes me crazy because we will get better and the second I take her anywhere new I know I have like 48 hours until a cold starts. It is exhausting. I know that this will help in the long run but it makes out hard to enjoy this age which I think is just awesome. I think she also has allergies which doesn't help. You are not alone!!
