  • We use the rock and play during the day and momma Roos at night, though I would like to try to move a crib back in our room and try that again, because I tend to sleep with one eye open.

We use the rock and play at night but hope to use the crib soon. It makes me nervous too. But I wanted to say, our son's name is Cole too! :)

  • We used the RnP for the first 6.5 months with DD1 and she transitioned to the crib easily. We use the RnP, bouncer and swing with DD2...she's really finicky.

  • I used it over night for my second for 5 months and never worried. Haven't had to use it over night with this LO, he likes to sleep in the newborn napper part of the PNP.

  • We use it - it doesn't worry me at all. It even says it's fine for overnight sleeping.
  • RnPs make people nervous b/c of the flat head issue. I only use it for short periods during the day but it's oh-so-tempting at night! Baby loves it but there's a lot of scary stuff to read if you Google it. In moderation it's probably fine.

We only use it during the day as more of a seat for him to join the family during meals and couch lounging.  I would hate not having him in a cosleeper at night.

I wish my daughter would sleep in the cosleeper, but she's all about the RNP these days.

And I will add: not nervous about it at all.

Why would it cause a flat head any more than a bassinet? My LO lays in it and sometimes has her head facing left, sometimes right and sometimes straight up. I'm on no sleep, so maybe I'm missing something?
  • I agree w/ @Rogue237‌ . DD turns her head every which way in her RNP. I don't know how this would cause flat head any more than any other sleeping place.

  • I've read that fisher price fixed the issue with the old rnp. If you're concerned about the padding & the plastic piece underneath, pad in between with some blankets--that's what we did with no issues.
  • Anything your baby is laying on can cause flat head.
