Tired of them already. Vent

The mothers day commercials. Saw three Hallmark ones today. I almost forgot that day is coming up. I wish I could just evaporate that day.

I leave for Cabo this Saturday and its my fertile window (ha, who would I be kidding, un-medicated cycle until new RE) so I will just relax poolside with a margarita in hand and maybe I will come home with a little burrito in my belly. And if not, I can definitely say to nay sayers "Yes people, we have gone on a vacation and I drank my face off" No it didn't work!

TTC#1 since Sept. 2011
March 2012-June 2012 - IUI's- BFN

Sept 2012= IVF #1- 14 eggs, 9 fert, no frosties. 2 blasts 5dt=BFN
Oct/Nov 2012= IVF #2- 20 eggs, 14 fert, no frosties. 2 blasts transferred despite mild OHSS=BFN
Nov 2012= hubby got transferred, moving to new state, time for a break until summer!
Feb 2013= Natural BFP!! Valentine's day surprise! 
Mar 2013= m/c @ 7.5 weeks :(

*New RE*
July 2013= ER for a freeze all cycle. 21 eggs, 9 fert, freeze all day 1.
Lab is closed in August! (Of course!) 
Sept 2013= FET #1 - transferred 3 not so great quality day 3 embies=BFN
Oct 2013= FET #2- transferred 4! 3 good, 1 poor= BFP! On hubby's birthday :)
Started bleeding at 5w5d. ER trip confirms one gest sac, one yolk sac, no fetal pole. 6w u/s showed nothing. Levels drop from 4,500 to 250. 
Nov.2013=meet with RE to discuss where to go from here.
       *Tests showed PCOS-ish. High testosterone. Start Metformin 1500 mg.
February 2014- CLomid, IUI, Trigger. 4 juicy and ripe follies (24,25, 28 and 34!) 111 million post wash sperm count. BFFN!!!! WTH?
March 2014- Over my RE. Year of fun for us and looking into RMANJ.

    ET on 7/31/14 -- 1 transferred (4bb); 8 frosties!!!

    BFP #3 on 8/8/14 -- EDD 04/18/15

    BETA #1:  473,  BETA #2: 1009, BETA #3: 1975

    This made me snicker a little. 

    I am so sorry that you are feeling extra sensitive right now. I completely get it. I have two friends, and a cousin (that I can think of) who are expecting right now, so I feel extra envious about the upcoming holiday. 

    I always love to celebrate my Mom, MIL, and Grandmother-in-law, but now I will face their upbeat facebook posts about their growing beans, and how Mother's Day has a new meaning... yadda yadda. 

    Ugh.

    - Failed attempts at clomid with OB
    - HSG with OB, nothing found
    - Met with RE. Laparoscopy/Hysteroscopy done on 08/04/2014. Results: Hymenal stenosis, minimal endometriosis, and PCOS
    - BFP #1: 11/26/2014, IT'S A BOY!

    Thanks ladies I knew you all would understand. I remember this time last year and I had just miscarried about a month before and my feelings were so raw and the day was just heart wrenching for me. I remember thinking to myself, well hopefully this time next year I will be better and it won't hurt so much.

    Fast forward to today and when I saw the commercial I felt absolutely gutted. Its like it all came rushing back. I honestly was not expecting to feel that way.

    I adore my mom, my grandmother and ok my MIL too and will celebrate them of course, but its another day and another reminder that I am not a mom yet. It hurts so bad!

    I am very excited for this vacation and feel that I need it in the worst way right now! Haha I like that 'bringing back a souvenir" ;) But I have an appt on the 14th with a new RE, so if not, I have that to look forward to I suppose. And of course I am not telling DH it's my 'window'. Poor guy. I just want him to think I'm whooping it up and letting loose on vaycay lol.

    Grr the I told you so people! I think I'll do the same. Or say it happened the month after ;) I know its a far stretch but hey, stranger things have happened ha!

    Aug 2013 - SA: Counts & Motility = great, Morph = 1%; RE didn't seem too concerned

    Me: 26
    Jan. 2014 - Blood work ordered by obgyn:  Prolactin = high & AMH = low (0.73)
    Feb. 6, 2014 - Repeat blood work ordered by obgyn:  Prolactin = normal & AMH = low (0.9)
    Feb.  20, 2014 - First appointment with RE
    Feb. 24, 2014 - HSG scheduled;  DX:  one tube definitely open & one tube could be blocked
    Mar. 7, 2014 - CD 21 Blood work for Progesterone; DX:  Progesterone level at 5.2; shows I ovulated but was low
    Mar. 28, 2014 - Laparoscopy; DX:  Tubes open.  Found some endometriosis and had that removed.
     
    History:
    Started TTC:  June 2012
    June 2012 - March 2013:  When it Happens/it happens method = BFN
    March 2013:  Started using Fertility Friend
    Cycles 1 - 15 with Fertility Friend = BFN
    Cycle 16 - Benched due to Laparoscopy
    Cycle 17 - Natural Cycle = BFN
    Cycle 18 - Natural Cycle = BFN
    Cycle 19 - Natural Cycle = BFN
     

    Current Cycle:
    Cycle 20 = Natural Cycle

    Can't blame ya at all for planning on "drinking your face off'! Sometimes you just need a sanity break. Relaxation always helps right? And drinking helps one relax. So by that logic, it is just what the doctor ordered!

    Trying to have baby #1 since April 2013

    DH SA March,May 2014 - Low motility and shape issues. On vitamins per RE to help

    Me testing April 3, 2014 - FSH and LH good, HSG showed blocked right tube

    April 29, 2014 - First RE appt., right tube needs to be removed and possibly left also if

    it's bad too. RE suggests going straight to IVF

    June 4, 2014 - LAP/HSC and unexpected endo. removed but tubes got to stay!

    June 13, 2014 - Post-Op appointment. We decide where to go next since main issue

    is MFI influenced. Trying naturally until decision... Repeat SA  in September. Aiming for IUI #1 November 2014.

    Have a great vacation!!!! I am dreading mothers day also. I definetly will be celebrating my mom but it is so hard to put aside my feelings about not being a mom yet.

    Diagnosed with PCOS and taking metformin 750 mg  twice a day
    April 2014 -  - 1st ICI Cycle - BFP 5/15/14 EDD: 1/20/15
    A/S 8-22-14 - Its a BOY!!
    12/15 Checkup & heard his beautiful heartbeat

    You ladies are so awesome! I am going to have a drink for every single one you! and with each sip will think of y'all :)

    I should've planned the vacation so that we would be gone on Mothers day, but didn't think that far in advance. But, we will be there for Cinco de Mayo so aye! aye! 

    I'll be back to reality and hormones and estrogen in no time :) lol!
