Who else's LO has one? Do you get shocked/disgusted reactions when people see it? I'm already over the "*gasp* Why is her belly button sticking out so far?!" and "Are you SURE that's normal/okay/whatever?" I really just want to say nunya damn business, but I'm too polite.
Yet another reason I dread her meeting the ILs this weekend. They're sure to make a big to-do about it. >:| I guarantee they'll be mad they weren't told about it. God forbid they hear about her tongue tie.

Keep it covered with a onesie. The only way someone else will see it is if they are changing a diaper. (That's something you can make sure to take care of yourself ) Obviously if it protrudes immensely it may be noticeable, but most kids I've seen aren't noticeable when fully dressed.
I have had one for the past 11 years (since an abdominal surgery). It's barely noticeable unless my shirt is skin tight. No one mentions it.
Not quite the same, but DS1 gets a loooooot of disgusted looks when he doesn't have a shirt on, especially at the beach, because he doesn't have a belly button at all. So I know how annoying it is. It sucks because he's alread starting to get self conscious about it.

Re: Umbilical hernia
My grandma asked if it was because I didn't tape a silver dollar to it. )
