Fenugreek users

My milk supply is dropping and I am going to GNC this week to get some fenugreek pills in an attempt to increase my supply. I have been drinking Mothers Milk Tea for a month and while it has helped a bit it's still not enough. For those of you who have tried it, did it help and what were your side effects (if any)?

I don't have any experience with fenugreek, but I would try posting this on the Breastfeeding board. The ladies over there are very knowledgable and helpful.

No side effects here. I use more milk plus. It has increased my supply, but you have to keep taking it to continue getting the benefits. I have forgotten to take the drops for a day or two and my supply dropped a bit.

I used the tea and the pills when I was BF. I thought the tea tasted awful and I didn't experience any increase in supply. So I tried the pills and got a noticeable bump, not enough to help me continue BF for long, but for a few days it was helpful. I didn't suffer any side effects from taking it. You do have to take a lot of pills to see any results.

I was taking them a little while back to help create a milk stash. I noticed a difference within the first couple days, but you do have to take a lot every day. 2 large capsules 3 times daily is what my bottle directions are.

For side effects the only thing is your sweat glands start to smell like maple syrup. Other than that I didn't have many side effects but I wasn't taking them for very long to notice things like weight gain etc.

I yook them when LO was 3 mo old and it gave bothh of us terrible gas. I stopped taking them but started taking them 4 days ago to give a boost to my supply. It definetely increased my supply and no gas so far. I take 2 pills 3 times a day which makes approximately 3600 mg.

I used Fenugreek with DS. It most definitely increased my supply. The only side effect for me was smelling like IHOP. It did give DS gas so I onle used it for short spurts to give my supply a boost.

I took the Funugreek from GNC but didn't really notice a huge increase. I didn't really notice any side effects either.

I take 2 fenugreek pills a day from GNC. I noticed a jump from pumping 25 oz to 30 oz a day when I started taking 2 pills instead of one.

I was taking a lot with no supply increase. Same with more milk plus I hope it works better for you! Only side effect was gas.. Yikes.
