yeast imfections

LO has her second yeast infection. Her first was while on her last antibiotic a couple months ago. This one appeared out of the blue over the weekend. Any idea what can cause these in babies?

My pedi said some babies are just yeast prone.  DD has diaper rash all the time.  Any big poop or prolonged wet diaper can cause a rash in her.  The pedi says that they are yeast rashes and some babies have them but she should outgrow it.  They gave us a standing prescription of the steroid rash cream to use twice a day while it's there.

Thanks! Pedi had told us before to use otc lotrimin and make homemade butt cream. I was startig with those again while calling dr.

Oatmeal baths help sooth itching and discomfort. Also, try to let your LO have diaper free time - 10-20 minutes of air a few times a day really helps!
