I'm back... (loss mentioned)

Hey ladies...I guess this one wasn't it for us. I had spotting yesterday and started bleeding lightly this morning. I tested on a FRER, it was almost negative and then a digital gave me not pregnant.

I am still planning on going to my doctor's appointment on Thursday. Any advice on what to talk to them about or what to expect would be helpful.

I am so sorry for your loss. The only question I would ask is whether he wants to see you earlier (as in right away) next time you are pregnant. That's the only thing that I wish I had known after my CP. {Hugs}

With both of my CPs my doctor chose to run a set of betas (so a draw and then another 48 hours later just to make sure they were dropping), but I know not all doctors do that. It gave me a little peace of mind that things were progressing correctly.

Questions I would ask:
How long should the heavy bleeding last/at what point should I call and see if this isn't normal? (If you're bleeding really heavily for more than a week they might want to see you. If you're bleeding through a pad an hour, it's recommended that you go to the ER or Urgent Care.)
How long do you recommend we TTA? (For one of mine we were told to wait until after my next period, for another we were cleared as soon as the bleeding stopped). Of course, if you don't want to TTC right away it's still good to have an idea of what's going on.

Basically bring up any concerns you have.

My CPs were pretty much like periods. I had a few days of spotting before they were diagnosed, and then bled for about 4 days. I did have slightly worse cramps and was really tired. You will need to use pads, no tampons because of infection risk. I was lucky that my cycles snapped back pretty quickly, but that's not always the case.

I can't see your siggy. Is this your first loss? If it's your first they prob won't do anything. If it's not it depends, some Dr's may do some testing on your second loss and some won't do it until your 3rd. When I had a cp at about 4 1/2 weeks I went ahead and went to my Dr appt. it was my second loss, he did nothing at that visit just told me to call when I had my period they would start cd3 testing. Again I'm sorry, take care.

So sorry for your loss. As someone else suggested, I would ask if they want you to come in sooner so they can track your betas back to zero, and so you have your loss on record. Might be good to have it documented.
