Hi all! I have been lurking for a few months and since Lauren @Laurenblum decided to join, I figured I would introduce myself!
We have been together a little over 2 years now and currently live in Chicago.We are registered domestic partners and will officially be married in June. We plan on having a big wedding maybe in 2015/2016. We just decided spending money on a baby is more important right now!
We have been TTC since January 2014. Even though it's only been a few months it feels like years. When we started we knew it was going to be a long and slow process with some ups and downs, but I didn't realize the emotional roller coaster I was about to get on. I think this process has also been extremely hard for me because even though I have Lauren, her family and a few friends here, all my family and close friends are in Oregon.
As Lauren said I have had 3 medicated IUIs all resulting in a BFN. The first one was Clomid (yuck!) and the rest were Gonal F. On top of prenatal vitamins I also take Ubiquinol CoQ10 and just started taking baby aspirin.
I ended my last Cycle with Gonal F 300 iu. Although I respond really well to the fertility drugs it just seems like I'm not ovulating all the eggs. Last cycle I had 4-5 mature eggs which resulted in me having about 6 huge cysts. Some I believe were left over from the previous cycle.
Lauren and I have decided that IVF is the best option at this point and knowing our insurance covers it makes our decision easier. I am currently on BCP till May 20th. I will be starting 20 units Lupron on May 14th. If my bloodwork and ultrasound look okay on May 20th then I will start Gonal F 300 iu, Menopur 150iu and 5 units Lupron. For about 10 days. Woah! Right now we are just taking everything one day at a time and preparing for this next step!
I don't know anyone personally that is or has gone through what I am. It's Comforting for me to read your stories and know I'm not alone and have the support of a great group of people when needed!

We've been working on baby #1 since July 2013 using Open ID donor sperm. 8 IUI attempts with 5 actual IUIs and one chemical pregnancy. We have one fresh IVF cycle under our belts as well as a FET. I have endometriosis and a uterine septum that was corrected via surgery in November 2013.
11/14/14 - Second HSG shows that tubes are still clear and ute is looking good.
12/6/14 - Started BCPs in prep for IVF #2
12/22/14 - Saline u/s and endometrial scratch (All was clear and OUCH!)
1/2/15 - Began stimming for IVF #2

I did IVF after 5 failed IUIs, and my protocol was similar to yours (follistim instead of Gonal F). If you have questions, let me know!
