Hi everyone! It's been a while but I've been lurking lately and thought I'd actually post something. Most of you may not remember me but I did post through my pregnancy and shortly after my son, Aaron, was born. He had 5th day fits shortly after he was born (neonatal seizures, they are harmless but terrifying for mommy and daddy). He is on medicine until he's 3 1/2 but doing great otherwise. I really fear having a second baby because he's been so easy going. We may be in for a shock when that time comes.
Today we are working on potty training and it's not going great. He just had his 4th accident and it's only 11:30. If anyone has tips, I'd appreciate hearing them.
Here's a picture of my little man. He will be turning 2 on the 25th.

Aw welcome back! He's very cute!! IMO it's early to potty train boys, my older two trained closer to three and it was very easy then when we tried around this age they weren't ready and had lots of accidents.

Yes, you are probably right. I'm going to give it one more day but I may wait and try again this summer if tomorrow is just as bad. My sister had good luck with one of her boys and he was potty trained around 18 months. He has the interest and we sit him down on the potty when he wakes and after meals with some luck.

Welcome back! Sophia occasionally asks to sit on the potty but tell us it's "just pretend". I let her do it and try and encourage her "maybe soon you will go pee pee and poopie for real"  Here's to hoping!

Hello! It may be a little early for potty training, but all kids are different. DS2 is occasionally interested in using the potty. I let him sit and try whenever he asks, but until he asks more regularly I'm not going to try potty training. With DS1 we made the mistake of trying to train early and it was mostly me reminding him to go. We gave it up until he started asking to go. He was potty trained just before 3.
