We are going with Gregory after my brother. He will also have a second uncle Gregory, but my brother is the real namesake. We are keeping it a surprise from my brother until birth. We thought it flowed nicely with the first name, and I like that I've never heard of it as a middle name before.
My boss' name is also Greg, so it's going to be funny when everyone at work thinks I named the baby after him.
Wearer using family names, Marie is both my mother and my middle name. For the next one if a girl middle name will be Elizabeth, which was his grandmothers middle name (also my moms first name, but using it to honor grandma). For a boy middle name will be Marshall, which was his grandfathers middle name. (His first name was Sheldon, not using that)

Another vote for family names. I like using the name as an honorific for a family member with whom you are close. We chose my father this round, so the baby is Noah Steven K. Best part about choosing a living relative is getting to tell them the news. My father actually cried, then I cried...it was a crying mess in the best way!
DD #1 has my middle name so for DD #2 I kind of feel that she should have a family or meaningful name too. That said I picked her first name so told DH he could pick her middle name. I like what he picked, but don't love it....it's growing on me...but isn't a family name. Oh well.
Each of our kids will have two middle names, one from each side. DD is Georgia Mackenzie Jean. I am Mackenzie and Jean is DH's grandma's twin sister, his favorite aunt. If LO is a boy he will be Duncan Kyle Wesley. Kyle is DH and Wesley is my grandpa. If LO is a girl she will Josephine Wesley (insert DH's family name here). I don't usually like boy names on girls but my grandpa won't be around for another baby so we're naming this one after him either way! DH wants to use his family name Mary, except that it rhymes with our last name.....? So I vetoed
I gave my son my father's name as a middle name and he couldn't have cared any less. It was a total waste of a name, LOL. I don't even know why I did it, as I typically think naming kids after someone else is, well, nevermind. We'll just say it is NMS and yet I did it anyway with lackluster results, LOL!
For our oldest son we gave him my husband's middle name as his middle name. For our second little boy I pick my grandfather's first name as the middle name since he had passed away and we were very close. With this pregnancy I chose my sister's middle name to use for our little girl. This time we actually picked the middle name first so we had to decide on a first name that went with it.
