Has anyone eliminated the last bottle or nursing session of the night? DS has been off of bottles since he was about 11.5 months, except for his last bottle of the night before bed. I want to break this last bottle. Lately, he has been giving us a really hard time going to bed---just in the last week or so. He sleeps through the night just fine. I don't think that he "needs" this last bottle, but it is the final cue before going to sleep for him at the same time.
Maybe it will be more rough on me than him---but just looking to see how things are going with you all. TIA.
Re: Eliminating last bottle or nursing session of the night
DS has been off of a bottle since 10 months, but still gets milk in a sippy before bed. I keep saying to DH that I want to do away with that because we are looking to start potty training over the summer. I tried only giving him half of what I normally give him the other night and he just asked for more when he finished it. I think I will continue to try and reduce the amount I give him gradually and eventually just take it away.
I think you might be right on it being harder on us than it is on the LO's.
