Nursing while pregnant

I recently found out that I'm pregnant. Not sure how far along I am but it's still pretty early. Anyway, my daughter is almost 16 months and is still breastfeeding. My question is, for those of you who are pregnant and nursing or have already gone through this, how did it go for you? Did you ever experience a supply drop? I have a friend who breastfed with her last two girls and I don't think she ever had any problems.. But I know everyone is different so I'd like to hear about your stories. I really enjoy breastfeeding my daughter and I don't think either of us are ready to wean. Thanks in advanced

I nursed DD1 until I was about 15 weeks pregnant.  I experienced a major supply drop right away but was able to continue until DD1 weaned herself.  I will tell you that some ob/gyns are kinda weird about nursing while pregnant.  Mine wanted me to stop right away, but I told him I would continue until DD1 was ready to stop.

DD1 was 19ish months when I became pregnant.  Like PP I had terrible pain nursing.  It was brutal.  I read somewhere that it can go away after the first trimester.  I will say it lessened for me a bit once I got into the second trimester, but it was still painful.  I also had hyperemisis so nursing was hard hard hard.  I was getting so sick, and would have to unlatch DD1 to throw up several times every time we nursed.  She was upset.  I decided to wean.  I never had any intention of tandem nursing, and had been hoping to nurse her a bit longer...but it was just too hard.  I have no idea if my supply dipped.  DD1 never complained!

Wow camedowncrushing that sounds brutal your daughter was a sweet heart not to complain! 

Thank you all for your replies. I do want to continue nursing my daughter as long as she wants and I personally do hope to tandem nurse.
