High-Risk Pregnancy

Behcet's, anyone?

edited April 2014 in High-Risk Pregnancy
We finally got a BFP after 8 years of failed, expensive cycles.
I have an autoimmune disease called Behcets which causes inflammation of the arteries and vessels, already putting me at high risk on it's own. Labor is a risk and often women with Behcets who deliver vaginally can have strokes or detached retinas.
I am waiting to hear from my RE tomorrow because I need to start blood thinners asap. Throw in my advanced maternal age, and I feel like a trainwreck.
I am currently on 2.5 mg of prednisone, which I have been tapering from 20 mg which I was on for 2+ years.
I am on Remicade but trying to swap to enbrel.
I am also currently taking progesterone supplements due to my PCOS and because I was injectible fertility drugs.
