We got a tentative discharge date!

Looks like we may be bringing Noah home this Tuesday. I am of course elated and also a little scared they will change it or push it back. He is being circumcised today so they can monitor his eating all of tomorrow. I also find myself suddenly totally exhausted. Its like we have been running on adernaline this whole time right now my c-section is killing me, I realize my house is a disaster and feel like the nursery is no where as nice as it should be.

    That is great news! Hope things go well with the circ and he gets to come home as planned. Don't worry about all of the other things, take care of yourself first. I hope your recovery gets easier.

    Great news! Definitely don't worry about the nursery! We still haven't finished ours since DD surprised us and arrived a little early.

    So glad to hear this I can't imagine how tough this has been on you and your family. The baby will never know or remember what his room or the house looked like when you brought him home so focus on being kind to yourself for now the rest can wait.

    So exciting! Try to squeeze in some extra rest for yourself until Tuesday. And don't worry about the house stuff. Taking care of yourself and your boys is much more important the the nursery and some dust bunnies ;-)

    I had to write you bc I also had a little boy named Noah born 4-17 at 35 weeks who had to stay in the nicu. We were only there for a week but it was the toughest week of my life. I also had a c-section so I feel like we are kinda kindred spirits here? Lol there is nothing more awful than not being able to take care of or hold your baby when he is born. For me all my energy ewe spent staring at those freaking monitors and not about Caring for myself after major surgery so try to relax a bit and know you're on the homestretch. Launching pad they called it. Also be prepared to freak out once you get him home and there aren't monitors telling you he's ok. I had a hard time with that bc I was worried he'd almost be better off in his little nicu bubble. Give yourself credit bc not only are you amazing for having your little man but you were strong while he was in the nicu. No easy feat. Good luck and cherish every day with your little family. They are a blessing :)
