Italy! This was our second time there. I love everything about it. Although I cannot wait to go back and spend more time in London, there are so many neighborhoods we didn't get a chance to explore
Guys, he did so good! He is such a little world traveler. Was no problem on 4 plane rides, 3 train rides, multiple taxis, subway, etc. we did discover that he gets carsick in the winding hilly roads of Tuscany though
He slept pretty well (5 beds in 13 days, including his first ever night of bed sharing), and napped on the run in his stroller or in my arms when we wanted him to. He really only slept crappy the last two nights for some reason.
Cartoons on our phones were a godsend, so I was worried we would have an addict on our hands when we got home, but he has been good this weekend. A couple really early mornings adjusting to the time change but he got up at 7:00 today which is close to normal. I would totally do it again
Anyway, full disclosure, ds is a very good sleeper, so my results may not be typical of a toddler. London was 5 hours ahead, Italy and Paris 6. He usually sleeps about 8:30 to 7:30, so it actually just worked out well that he stayed up until 11ish and slept in every morning. So it was like he adjusted halfway. Worked out perfectly for the Italian schedule of late leisurely dinners!
On the way home, we honestly had a couple rough nights, but he seems better now. Very early wakeups, which is what you would probably encounter going out west. My advice is to let your lo nap as much as they want and at any time they want during the day the first day, and then try and force the bedtime that you desire. And if they wakeup at 4am, try to either get them back to sleep or make it as sleepy-time as you can (laying in bed until a reasonable hour).
As far as the flight goes, I brought a little bag of new toys, and lots of snacks. Favorite cartoons downloaded onto iPhones and iPad. Pacifier for landing. He had his own seat for the overseas flights, which was great, but he would only sleep on me

Tl;dr. Good luck.
