So we will officially be at one year BFing on Wednesday! I'm so excited to begin the toddler nursing stage!
ETA: my whole draft deleted! Here it is again:
My question is, is there a point during the natural progression of cutting out feedings where I need to be giving her milk (we're doing hemp milk instead of WCM) as a supplement?
She has started eating way more solid food recently and has cut out one big nursing session as a result, but she still nurses 5-7 times a day (unless she is sick, then way more). I know at this point she is getting plenty of her nutrition from BM, but once she gets down to just a few sessions a day (my supply has already started to go down so I know she is taking in less at some sessions than she used to) do I need to fill in the gap with milk? Or does "on demand" work as far as nutritional requirements go?
Any experience or insight you have Would be so helpful! It's nerve-wracking going from BM to solids as the primary source of nutrients!
