Something or nothing?

Okay so I've had on and off pink discharge for the last couple weeks, enough to take notice, but not get really concerned. I've talked about it with my Dr. and he wanted me to always let him know about it, but said he wasn't too concerned unless it was red and a "flow". I am 35w now and have in the last 24 hrs had some really pink discharge sometimes when I wipe turn to some very red discharge on my panty liner. I am monitering it, but wonder if and when I really should make a call or be concerned that something might be happening. I know I'm gonna sound dumb, but is this an indication of me dilating/bloody show? Or what? It doesn't seem mucus plugish. I haven't had sex or anything that I would think would cause cervical irritation. I have been having some contractions, although I'm not the best at noticing them happening. Baby has been moving just fine. I appreciate any feedback you ladies might have. I'm a FTM and a bit clueless, but I do know that some of these things can mean nothing, or could be something.

If he wants you to keep him up on when it's happening and it's changed to a different color red then I would defiantly call.

Call your doc - especially if he's asked you to. We can't help you here I'm afraid! Good luck.

I'm a FTM and if my doc told me to call them to keep them up to date, and if it has changed from a lighter pink to a deeper pink color, I would call. Just to ease my own mind, and not stress.

Keep us posted but I agree with pp of there has been a change call even if it's nothing it will put your mind at ease. Good luck!

Did he want you to keep him updated at your appointments or actually call with updates?  If he wanted you to call, then... call.

There is no harm in calling. It's just as easy as coming to this site, clicking on our bump board and then starting a new discussion about it...

Okay I finally called this morning because all day yesterday I was having BH contractions at a pretty regular pace, and last night out of curiosity I looked up how many was too many and I was definitely having too many just to let it go. I never knew that more than so many an hour was an issue. Basically they said I could come in if I was really worried, but they weren't unless my water broke or I had increasing in intensity contractions. Today I am having quite a few, but I'm not in pain or anything and they aren't as frequent as yesterday. The blood also had stopped by Sunday morning. So I guess I'll just wait and see what happens. Watch, now with all this early stuff, I'll be overdue.
