question on twins

I recently went to my last OB appt where I thought I was about 7 weeks pregnant, but I could have had a slightly irregular cycle (32 days instead of 28 that a LMP predicts).  They did an ultrasound, and one baby came out to 5w5d and the other 5w6d but there were only 2 gestational sacs, no yolk sacs yet.  I'm supposed to go back in a week to see if there are yolk sacs, heart beats, etc.  My doctor isn't too worried, but doesn't it seem odd that there aren't any yolk sacs yet?  It was only an abdominal scan, so next time I'll need to have a full bladder and I might to the internal one if needed.

I had my first u/s at 5w4d, and the only thing we could see were both sacs with yolk sacs. We saw 2 heartbeats at 6w4d!

I didn't have abdominal u/s until 12ish weeks. All my early u/s were transvag.
You are really early to see much of anything. I had a emergency u/s at 5w, 4d and saw nothing. One week later, we saw 2 HBs.

My first (transvag) scan at 6 weeks only showed two empty sacs measuring 5 weeks. I was sure we had blighted ova. A week later we had 2 hbs measuring 6 weeks. At 16 weeks my LOs are now measuring ahead. Every day is a long time when they are this little. Don't give up - FX!!!
