I'm having a hysterectomy during my csection due to some crazy fibroids. My Ob just mentioned they might have to do a vertical incision on me. So naturally I was coming on here to ask who has had a hysterectomy before and did they have to use a vertical incision on you......Pregnancy brain at its best, clearly no one here has had a hysterectomy!
So what silly thing is your pregnancy brain making you do/say lately?

My sister had a hystereticimy during nursing school. They actually did each ovary and the uterus in three different surgeries, trying to save something. Besides the point. They did the bikini cut with her.

Thanks for the actual answers. My mom and my aunt both had hysterectomies due to fibroids. They were both bikini cuts. But since I'm pregnant and my uterus is huge it might be too big to take out without a vertical incision.
