Possibly pregnant?

edited April 2014 in Babies on the Brain
My SO and myself have been thinking about another baby so that our daughter will have a sibling that is close in age. She is 15 months now. I have a ovulation tracker on my phone and according to it, I should have already gotten my period. My last period was March 9th to the 13. So far, I have NO signs of an impending period. I have not gotten any of the tell tale sypmtoms. I have never missed a period and NOT been pregnant. But, judging on the time frame, it seems I could be in the early stages of pregnancy. Would it be too early to take a pregnancy test at this point?

Do you normally have long cycles? March 9 would put you at CD49. So. Assuming you have shorter cycles than that, no it would not be too early to test. If that's a typo and you meant April, we have no idea, since you don't know what day you ovulated but that would be CD18. Too early.

  • Actually, that was a typo, I didn't realize it said March until you said that. Thank you. I meant April.

Wait, so your last period was April 9th, which puts you at CD 18, and you're wondering if you could be pregnant? Are you serious?
Wait at least 15+ more days then pee on a stick.

  • I apologize for the confusion my last comment may have caused, when I was reading the comments I had taken a pain pill, and it must have made me slightly loopy and confused.  I keep thinking we're in a different month for some reason. March 9th WAS my last period.  The only reason I was asking on here was because I was feeling a bit stressed, and I know stress can cause the period to come a little later. Sorry for any inconvenience.  The app I have my phone is not just an ovulation tracker, it also keeps track of my periods and goes off that. So far, it has been right on schedule with saying when my period is due, so I assumed that it was pretty accurate with the ovulation as well.
  • Thank you very much for your suggestions, and response. :)
  • If you are TTC the best thing to do is to join fertilityfriend.com and they have an app as well. The ovulation trackers estimate your ovulate based on your cycle length. The problem with that is that not every cycle is the same. You are missing out on a lot of helpful information by using those standard apps, and you could be missing your best days for conceiving.

I suggest joining fertility friend, and investing in ovulation tests. You can buy a ton of Wondfo's on Amazon for cheap. I used to purchase the cheapies and then have the clearblue digitals for back up. Whenever I would get a cheapie test that looked positive I would then test with the cleablue to verify. I used that as well as tracking BBT, CM and CP.

    Good luck.
