Colds!

Can I just say how much I hate colds! I mean it could very well be allergies but it's the congested night time nose that kills me! I jump at every single noise and if I don't hear a noise for awhile, forget it, I panic! I knew this was coming too but was hoping it was a growth spurt. For what ever reason 2 days before cold symptoms show LO sleeps for like 13 hours straight and eats like a little piggy, which is what he's been doing Runny nose fine, congested baby that sounds like he can't breath not fine. I hope this passes soon.

If it is allergies is there something different I should do at home to help? Or does the humidifier, Vicks, nose spray, elevated crib etc., still help?
