Thanks to your question about a travel carseat, I started researching the Evenflo Titan, which led me to the Evenflo SureRide. I just bought one at Babies R Us yesterday to use as our extra seat. It was $99, but BRU has a 20% off coupon until 5/1, so I got it for $80. It's super light, so I think it will work really well for traveling or just for use in Grandma's car. It rear faces to 40 lbs/40" and forward faces to 65 lbs/54" (although the harness wasn't long enough to buckle my 54", 63.5 lb, almost 8 yo).

If anyone else is looking for an inexpensive extra seat, this is a great one to last from birth to 7+ years.

I ended up with the Evenflo Tribute! It is super light, even compared to our infant bucket seat, haha!
