Stripped my membranes & went into labor an hour later!

I took the advice of you ladies and had my membranes swept on Monday (40w4d) but it didn't do anything. Then had it done again today (41 weeks) and am sitting in L&D! My water broke just an hour after it was done and labor started hot and heavy and has gone quickly. I'm comfortable now with an epidural (except shaking like crazy) and 7 cm. I'll be back with a birth story soon!

Good luck! Same happened to me -- membranes swept at 40+2, started contractions in the car on the way home, and was back in L&D a few hours later.

BFP#3 8/19/13 Another boy! 17P, modified bedrest and Nifedipine helped us have a termie! DS2 born 4/19/14 at 38w5d.
