I'm just full of them....

Questions and Whines that is.....

I'm just so done.

Anyways I've been taking procardia since last Thursday when I went into pre-term labor, doctor said to only take it as needed (like if I have more than 4 or 5 contractions in an hour) so I take it while at work so that I can function but if I miss a dose, I'm not necessarily getting contractions but my body feels like crap. I'm nauseated, exhausted, indigestion, weak.

I feel like I'm going through withdrawals without the medication? Anyone else have that experience? I took onetonight (surprisinly no contractions lately--kind of scared) and I ended up taking one because I literally feel like garbage without it.

  • I stopped taking it because it gave me migraines. I didn't experience any withdrawal.
I agree with PP, you should be talking to your doctor or pharmacist about this.

This is normal end of pregnancy, not necessarily related to preterm labor stuff.

I'm confused as to why you are taking a drug intended to stop your PTL contractions... when you're NOT having contractions. Also, why are you seeking medical advice on the medication, that you are wrongly taking, from internet strangers?

Just because it "makes you feel better" or you "can't function without" doesn't mean it's a good idea to take when not needed...
And my answer to you would be this^^
