Sling vs Boba Wrap

I have always used the Boba wrap and love it! Tonight it was upstairs and DD2 was crying when I was trying to make dinner, so I grabbed the ring sling that I just made to try it out. Wow, I obviously don't know how to use it and I thought it would be easy compared to the Boba!

I felt like she was going to roll out forward. She didn't feel secure to me. Any advice? The rings were on my left shoulder and her head was pointing to the rings. I could kiss her head. The material looped under my right arm and around to my left shoulder if that helps.

Was she tummy to tummy or in a cradle hold? I always had more success with my LOs tummy to tummy. Also when you tighten, try to do it in 3 stages; top rail, bottom, rail and the body. Youtube videos are also helpful.
