Ecoli bacteria and high white blood cell count... Now what?

Hi all. Kinda new to this site. My DH and I have been ttc for about a year now. I had a MC in march of 2013. We decided to go to a RE. He ran a bunch of blood work and did a bacteria test where he took a sample from my uterus. It came back that I have E. coli which they told me was very common. Kinda gross. Ew. Sorry. Tmi?! And he asked me to go redo another blood test that showed a high level of white blood cells in about 7-10 days. Has anyone experienced this. How will this effect our treatment? And what should I expect next? Thanks

Was this bloodwork done recently or after your MC in 2013?

Regardless, I would expect you would be put on a round of antibiotics.....and E. Coli should not be in your uterus, it is common in your colon, anywhere else, it will get you put on contact precautions if you were in the hospital.

It was after. Just recently. That's what I was thinking too but my dr office said they see it time and time again. And I researched it. It seems more common then we think. I'm getting a round of antibiotics today I take them for 7 days then retest blood.
