I watched the first season, but I got bored with it.. because even *I* could see they weren't all real. I mean- the signs jump out clearly, it frustrated me.   I met my H online, and he was from Europe.  Even 10 years ago before FB existed and the WORLD was online, I still knew what to do to make sure it was legit.

That show kills me! A friend of mine has an ex husband who has sent his "online girlfriend" money multiple times, she is some cute little girl from LA (yeah right), they are engaged, and she is planning to come up here to be with him..... but recently got in a car accident that prevented her from getting on the plane. Before that, it was some other stupid excuse. Soooo many people in his family have tried to explain that she is not real to him, and he refuses to listen.
