What do you love about DH?

I was just thinking how lucky most of us are to have such loving, supportive partners to go through this 'journey' with us. I was at the counsellor today & he said 'think of the good things you do have in your life- some women would crawl over broken glass to have a loving husband'. It made me realise how often I take him for granted & don't appreciate him enough! So let's pay tribute! I'll go first: I love that DH will do anything to cheer me up on a rough day - massages, cups of tea, dinner date, chocolate and making me laugh.

I love this post! I love that my DH always surprises me - sometimes he's a hero, sometimes a goofball, sometimes really vulnerable. I love his sincerity and earnestness, his family loyalty and faithfulness. The way he pushes through ADD and being an English language learner and studies constantly, earning straight As in a tough program. I love how he asks innocently, "Am I cute?" when I start laughing at his hilarious English.

I love the peace of knowing that even if we somehow end up childless not by choice, although a big piece would be missing from my heart, a life with him would be a happy one.

I love everything about him, good and bad. I love how since my IBS & GERDS and now our fertility struggles he has become more protective of me. I have always been the one protecting him from things.

Can I just say I LOVE this thread?

My DH is my rock.

He didn't understand a whole lot of what's been going on with me, but in the last 2 months especially he's been researching and talking more and more about my PCOS and insulin resistance. He is so good at letting me talk about my frustrations, and when I had my horrible RE visit, he held me while I sobbed tears of frustration. And then he told me I was never going back there, and we'd do whatever it took to get me in a good place again.

He's incredible, and journeying through IF together is making us closer than ever. My personal Superman

DH has a way of being my balance... sometimes its the most annoying thing in the world, but in hindsight its always what the situation needed. When Im freaking out and going nuts, he is there to calm my spirits. When Im frustrated and ready to quit, he talks it out rationally with me. When something goes wrong Im on level 10, he steps in and takes over and things just seem to magically get into place. 

Im grateful for him, for our love, and for our commitment to each other. He may not be much to the next lady, but damnit, he's ALL right with me.

I love my husband.  I'm the pessimist, the glass half empty one.  He's the optimist, the one who says I should be thankful for what I do have.  He keeps me grounded and talks me off the ledge.  He's my best friend and I am so incredibly grateful for him.

I never give my DH enough credit.  I love that he would do anything for me. I love that he doesn't care if I just want to come home from work and not doing anything (I'm the one the usually cleans around the house).  I love that that he is able to make me laugh.  He supports me in most things that I want to do.  I'm the more rigid, uptight one.  He is definitely the go with the flow, spontaneous type person.  We balance each other out.

My husband is my best friend! He makes me laugh on a daily basis. He has such a heart of gold and sometimes I think I don't deserve him. He is an only child and anytime one of my single friends asks if he has a brother I say "nope, he's one of a kind" and really mean it.

Just this morning I walked downstairs after hearing the mop (shark sonic so thats how i heard it ha) and asked what he was doing. Our dog had tummy problems in the night and he was cleaning up his mess (which makes him GAG by the way). I asked why he didn't wake me up to do it and he said "That's not the way you should be woken up in the morning."  Melt. Me.

I love that man.

My husband is simply amazing! We balance each other out perfectly. I'm a planner and a worrier...he's go with the flow, one day at a time. He has the patience of Job when I have days where I'm a moody, hormonal mess. He makes me laugh til I have tears, holds my hand everywhere we go and sends me flowers on rough days.

He tells me probably 10 times a day that I'm beautiful and when we are with a group of people he will point at me from across the room and ask people, "have you seen my wife? Cause she's beautiful." Embarrassing, yes, but just so damn sweet.

He's so involved with this whole IF process...never missing a single appointment no matter how small. There to listen, give his opinion and support me no matter what. He's definitely a "happy wife, happy life" husband! He's my rock for sure...my best friend.

And adorable. His smile y'all....swoon.

My H is the kindest, calmest most patient man I've ever met He balances me and talks my spazzy hyper ass off the ledge on a daily basis. He loves me for me- flaws and all.  He may not be the biggest romantic out there but shows his appreciation in so many other way.

This is definitely my husband.  He isn't the biggest romantic, but he shows his love in other ways.

My husband is absolutely amazing. He is unconditionally supportive and loving. He leaves me love notes all of the time. He tells me how beautiful I am all of the time, even if my hair is pulled back and I have yoga pants on (again). He tells me how much he appreciates me. He is definitely my balance, and calms me when I am freaking out. Even though it irritates me sometimes, I appreciate his positivity and it is refreshing. He's there for me when I need to freak out or melt down. He holds my hand. He puts away the laundry. He is funny, smart, handy, and handsome. :-)

He is sweet and thoughtful (most of the time). I have bought an outfit or two here and there and he makes sure they stay in the attic because he doesn't want me to get upset looking at them. I never do, but it's sweet of him to think of it. He always understands when I don't want to go to baby showers or see 1000 pictures of babies on FB, etc. He always makes me laugh and feel better. And he's handsome

 I love how calm and level headed H is. We just found out we are not only battleing my IF but also MFIF, and instead of freaking out, he said "we will figure this out, we will start a family." He's always my shoulder to cry on and calm me down when I am having my worst days.

My DH is amazing. He has stuck by me with my crazy family, thought I would lose him when we were dating because of the crazy rules. Its all the little things he does, playing a song that reminds him of me or us. Or leaving me a giant stuffed animal and a not in bed waiting for me if hes going to be gone. Always saying he wishes he could take everything on so I didn't have to.

And with his goatee he looks like Jason Aldean, just sayin...lol :x

What a sweet post!  My husband is a complete Type A personality - very driven, very hardworking, not super social, kind of pretentious, etc. but he has this super genuine smile and when he flashes it, it can melt your heart. And while his co-workers love him I'm sure they are like, "that poor woman he is married too, he must be so difficult".  And yes, sometimes he can be a big pain in the butt - but as a husband he is top-notch and I wouldn't trade him for anything.  He is sweet, kind, generous, he puts others needs before his own, loyal, trust-worthy, compassionate, caring, thoughtful.  He is a dreamer, he is funny and witty and has helped me keep my humor during this journey.  He is my best friend and I know that he will always be by my side.

I love this thread and it put a smile on my face just thinking of my husband!

I love that my DH is so hardworking, driven, and passionate. I love how he puts in so much effort and love in everything he does. Sometimes it drives me crazy how much of a perfectionist he can be and how he is not laid back about some things, but I really admire how he tackles life.

I also love through this IF journey that his personality shows through. He has MFI and he bought a microscope to monitor his little guys to see if he's making any improvements in whatnot. I love my husband and I can't imagine life without him!

So many of these posts reminded me in little ways of my DH. It's just nice to know that, no matter what happens with testing, diagnosis and treatment, I at least have a life with him to look forward to.

My DH is literally the most thoughtful person I know and the most supportive too. And he always tells me thank you for everything I do and never complains if I go a while without doing anything lol. (I have to remind myself to keep up because if I don't he will literally take care of every chore etc.) The other day he made me a grilled cheese sandwich and I thanked him for making it and he sort of scoffed and was like "making a grilled cheese sandwich is the LEAST I can do for you after all the dinners you've made!" (I do actually do most of the cooking but only because I get home earlier). He also tells me I'm beautiful all the time even when I look horrible!!! And he makes me laugh all the time like this morning after my follie scan when he asked me "so how big do they get again before they burst?" LOL!!

Aww great idea @amykeir!  

I love that my DH provides a sane and rational counterpart to my obsessiveness with this process.  He holds and comforts me if I need it but then he reminds me that we have each other and that we should be grateful for the time we have right now that belongs to just us.  

He also cheers me up by getting me chocolate or making me laugh.  He makes dinner.  He is such a wonderful "daddy" to our dog Jasmine.  And I just have so much fun with him!!  He's awesome.

Love this post, because I love that every woman can truly be married to the "best" husband in the world! Marriage (a healthy one) is so cool that way! I tell my DH that he's not the man of my dreams... he's way more awesome than I ever dreamed for myself. 

When I'm scrolling through all the baby news on FB, I try to remind myself of the many friends who aren't married... and count my blessings

I love my husband so much. I love that he doesn't hold a grudge. I can be the grouchiest grump there ever was and snap at him over and over and he will just sit closer to me and tell me he loves me. It's so reassuring that I don't have to hide my bad days from him. He knows me in and out. We have been together for 15 years and although IF is the biggest challenge I think we have faced, I know it won't break us. I truly love that man to the core of my being and I know he feels the same.

I know this is kind of last week's news but I really love this post! Without my supportive and amazing and kind and solid husband I think this process would break me in two! Having someone like him in my life every day makes me so happy and so grateful and gives me the strength to keep going...I try to always tell him that I just don't know how I could be me without him. Nice to hear all you other ladies pushing onward through all this stress and pain and heartache have amazing people backing you up too!
