Uggs?

Do you think Ugg boots look nice? I've been thinking about buying a pair, but I don't know if they're worth the money and I I'd feel like I'm in slippers all the time. I like them with these kinds of looks (minus the hat):

I think they are hideous, but I do have a pair that I wear when it is cold and I want to be comfortable.

My DH has some house slippers that are really comfy, but to me, that is a house-only shoe.

I feel like all the moms I see wear uggs or hunters boots now. What happened to just a normal shoe? It's not that wintry around here.

IMO they are more of a 'comfy' shoe - ie I see people wearing them with leggings and a hoodie or something like that. I have a pair of flat, I guess motorcycle type boots that I wear with outfits like that - skinny jeans and a sweater. Looks more put together to me.

I got some that are black and have a little buckle on them. I actually got a lot of compliments on them. I'm not wild about uggs in general and resisted them for years, but they are very comfortable and warm. I wanted boots I didn't have to zip and could slip on while holding a baby. The Uggs fit the bill for that.

I have a pair of ugg slippers, and a pair of ugg style boots.  IMO they are only for cold weather and look sort of silly otherwise

I rocked them in college walking to class in snow and ice and slush.

They keep your toes warm!

I'd have them still if it snowed in FL.

Are they THAT warm? The winter here is cold, but it doesn't snow, so, do you think they would be too much?

So I've never worn them but my mom can't wear socks with them cuz they're so hot so when she comes over here she brings a pair of socks to put on (our house is chilly in the winter).

I have 2 pair of boots and a pair of slippers. I love them! I wear the boots only in the winter when it's cold out but dry. The slippers, I live in them in the house. I live in the northeast and they're pretty popular up here with our cold winters, whether the Ugg Australia brand or other ugg-style brands.

I wear them both with skinny jeans tucked in, and with boot cut pulled over the boots.

I think they're awful and I wouldn't be caught dead wearing them. I cringe every time I see them. They were extremely prevalent on my college campus.

I think they're ugly and have no desire to wear them, but I can see why people might in the winter. When it's warm out, though, like shorts weather, I totally shake my head. I mean, all I can think is how hot and gross must those girl's feet be in there?
