TTC after 35

Questions after mc re: possible bfp?

Ok, so i have had my first cycle after the mc in February. We got the green light from the doc to start again, which we have and are ready to get that bfp!! I've discovered that i am in fine tune with my body and experience middle pain when i ovulate. And my doc said that we'd have way better luck this time around after the mc, which in reading, is pretty accurate. I'm not due for my period for a few more days. Anywhere from the 27th to the 1st. My cycles are shorter than average. But here's the thing...over the last few days I've been experiencing some pretty bad nausea. Each day it's a bit worse than the day before. So far, it's just been nausea and nothing more. And in reading, it says some women can experience nausea the day after they conceive! Which for me, was over a week ago. My question is if anyone has experienced such early symptoms?  Last time i experienced cramps (which was horrible, and i kept thinking i'd rather have nausea instead, and from my reading, it says that nausea is a good sign), tender breasts and very slight nausea, but it wasn't until after i tested. I've been waiting (not so patiently) to take the test this month, but with this nausea, i keep wondering if it would be positive already? But then again...i don't want to get my hopes up. Just in case. *sigggghhhhh*

  • Unfortunately PMS and pregnancy symptoms are pretty much the same.  Typically if you are having symptoms you would turn a pregnancy test positive. All you can do is try one.  Every body is different.  For me my only pregnancy symptom was a missed period so you never know.  Good luck to you this cycle.

  • I agree with @kindershlitz. Pregnancy symptoms are the same as period symptoms, so it's easy to go crazy with interpretation before your expected period. I would suggest starting to test around 12 DPO and keep testing.

  • I am going to be the odd woman out, here. (CHILD MENTIONED)

I had a CP/miscarriage and then had a regular cycle, a cycle with no ovulation (the cyst burst early instead of releasing the egg), and then got my BFP with my dd the third cycle after my miscarriage. I tested positive with an HPT at 10DPO and my only symptom was a vein in my breast that wasn't there before. And by the next day, I had morning sickness. For the next 16 weeks.

Sooooo.... it could totally be early pregnancy signs. But the pps are right, too-- every pregnancy symptom is pretty much also a period symptom. So you never know until you see the BFP.

But I would test around 12 DPO.
