How long did it take y'all's scar to heal up? I'm 4 months out and it still irritates me. Very itchy and sore sometimes. The dr said it was fine and it'll take time to get back to normal.
Im only 3 months out and it still bugs me. I talked to my pharmacist (she's awesome) and she told me to use hydrocortisone cream for itchiness and vitamin e oil. I started using the oil last night and didn't itch.
i have never heard to use that cream but i just might try it. I am 5 months PP and its itches still but i dont have any feeling in the scar area so i try to scratch it but i cant feel it so the itch doesnt go away. It has been a major pain.
I am curious, did all of your scars consistently hurt after your c section until many months afterwards? I am only one month out and my scar isn't itchy or sore at all, just slightly numb right around the incision. My doctor said I healed very fast, but I am wondering if more pain/annoyingness is yet to come...
Mine gets painful when something rubs on it for a long period of time. For example, the button on my jeans. That sucker just rubs the wrong way and then it gets painful.
Sometimes its painful because I overwork myself with cleaning and chasing DD around. It could be the inside incision, but it feels like the scar hurts too. It's hard to tell with everything numb.
It healed really fast and luckily i never had any issues with it. For a long time i didn't have any feeling in the skin around that area but 1) that's normal 2) now it's back 3) it didn't matter because who cares if you feel vividly in that one particular spot if you're fine everywhere else...
Mine is still numb around the incision too. I've been freaking out about it because I was worried it wasn't healing properly. I'll try the cream had to get some for my sons rash so I'll give it a go!
