Update re: previous Acupuncture discussion

Hello ladies!

About a month ago I asked if anyone had tried acupuncture because my best friends cousin had just started sessions and was finding it helpful.

Well she is now pregnant. She said the acupuncture helped regulate her hormones. They had a cycle and did their first IUI after acupuncture and bam! I know, I don't know her complete medical history but this is enough information for me to see if this is something that will work for me!

I have my first appointment scheduled for tomorrow afternoon with a acupuncturist who specializes in reproduction issues. I will keep you ladies posted!

PCOS/IR diagnosed 6/2012

Clomid 150mg 3/2013 - no response
1st Follistim Cycle 7/16/2013 -  CD3-6 125iu; CD7-8 150iu; CD9-15 175iu; Trigger 8/1; IUI scheduled for 8/3/2013...BFN AF arrived 8-16-2013
8/2013 cycle benched for cyst

    I recently started doing acupuncture, and have found it helpful. Husband and I have been TTC for a year this month. Before I start any of the testing and such I figured I would go with acupuncture for a bit, as I am just not mentally prepared for all that yet, and I do have quite high levels of stress, which is not helping!

    Anyways, my cycles are usually horrendous the week before and during AF, and after acupuncture they were greatly improved. Mind you I am still not pregnant after two cycles, but I do feel my hormones are getting under control.

    In my opinion, it is worth a try. It will at least help you relax during the stressful time!

    (About us: Me-25, Husband-32, married 5-18-12, TTC since 5/13, Husband has been tested and is fine)

    Are you just doing the sessions? Or are you taking any additional herbal supplementation as well? I am doing acupuncture also, but the guy suggested i take some herbs as well, but my fertility doc's say NO! Just trying to get a better idea if the acupuncture works just as well on it's own.Thanks!
