I'm a remote editor for an online acronym database. Basically, I log into the system by way of the editing software and I can retrieve and edit live to the web.
Right now, we're working through a glut of medical and scientific terminology, so all I have to do is really verify that the letters in the acronym are in the same order as the words in the meaning, verify that the acronym comes from a reputable source, and verify that the spellings are all correct within the definition.
It's a pretty sweet setup, considering that I get paid to sit on my computer at home. But like I said, it sucks that I'm getting paid per hour, not per acronym, since I am so obviously working MUCH faster than they (or I) expected. Especially since I just worked my first 2.5 hours live yesterday...
Re: Since Stacie asked...
