I hate it for different reasons - it's supposed to be a "walker" but when she tries to pull up on it, it flips over on top of her. It seems like it should be weighted at the bottom more or something. I usually take the toy off of the walker and let her play with it on the floor separate from the walker part.
@lancomechica hugs momma, you're doing a great job!! I can't imagine dealing with your schedule as well as you do. Re sleep: I've tried to do soothing before feeding, I would say it works half the time. Allie had never been a big eater at night, maybe 2 -3 ounces, but she's also not a big eater during the day.... We've been in teething hell which feels like forever now.
I'm off to my stroller spin class today (although I may fall off due to exhaustion), and then we take the babies for a swim after!! It's a nice break while the older kids are in school. And it's my birthday today so dh is insisting we go out for dinner with the kids. We will see if I have the energy!!
Jadzia has her first cold Aside from sounding stuffy and congested shes surprisingly happy She already has ninja reflexes when it comes to anything near her nose...I wish I could force her to sneeze all that green goo out.
Snot sucker or tissue coming...this is what I see..
@casey78 yeah I reserved two hours and that should be plenty. What irritates me more is they make you undress the babies and then they have to sit there naked waiting for the doctor. It's freezing in here!

@arlingirl - that's not "normal" - that's bad scheduling or a lot of sick kids. I take a blanket to wrap LO up in so she won't be chilly if we do have to wait. I try to make appointments on wed\thursday at our ped office. Mondays\Tuesdays and Fridays always seem busier. I hope the speed it up for you!
@arlingirl that would really irritate me. Either they're over scheduling or they need to focus on the amount of time they're able to spend with each patient. I understand that some patients (parents) are going to have more questions and take more time than others, but they need to allow for that while scheduling.
I often hear my pediatrician shooting the shit out in the hallway and it irritates me if I've been sitting in the room for 30+ minutes. I always take a big blanket with me and sometimes I even shut the air vent in the room ;;) (he often does the same thing once he walks in, so I figure it's not a big deal to go ahead and do it for his late behind).

Our Drs office keeps the room so freaking hot that by the time the Dr comes I feel like ripping all my clothes off to cool off a bit (but I don't....)
@arlingirl Our pedi is the same way. My DH used to get SOOO mad at it, that now I have to tell him to expect at least 2 hours. We also bring a blanket to wrap LO in.
These pedi wait times are ridiculous! We get in right at our appointment time - we MIGHT have to wait 5 minutes. Then the nurse sees us as soon as we get in the room to do weights/measurements, and the doctor is right behind her. We are in and out in about 20 minutes. Also, the room is super warm - I am always sweating! I guess we should count ourselves lucky

I just did something really gross and would feel better if I confessed it here. My ear is really itchy so I scratched it with my finger and pulled out some dry wax. Well I'm sitting on the couch and refuse to move. I didn't want to throw the wax on the floor and am too lazy to move so I put it in my pocket.
@lancomechica I was overwhelmed as a graduate student who worked as well and I did not have a baby. And my job didn't require travel. I can't even imagine. Add the health stuff to it and I would have quit on everything. >:D<
Thanks girl!!
I am gonna keep truckin. I registered for Summer Seminar today. No rest for the wicked.

Daycare teacher asked me if I knew who Kim Kardashian was today...because she said I look like her twin...my first thought was...Damn! I need to start working out again to get rid of my huge badonkadonk.
Our pedi was getting better with wait times...well then cold/flu season kicked in so hes usually pretty busy. He is one of the popular ones and hard to get into. I dont mind waiting for a little while as long as I dont have a crabby baby
Want to feel old? Sk8er Boi came out 12 years ago.
eeeeeek. But then again, one of the moms at the baby playground was venting to me about her cousin's over-protectiveness where his kid (3 years) is concerned and then said "well, it's probably because they're late parents. He's already 34 now."
My mom, sis, aunt and 6 mo old nephew visited yesterday. We were at a coffee shop and l had a spinach feta bistro. It was delicious. I put a bit on a spoon for Alex. My sister lost it. "OMG! What are you doing?!?" "Did you just feed that to him?!?" "He can't have that!!"
I was a little shocked and thought at first she meant because it tasted way to good to share. But no. It was because it has butter and salt and probably not organic. All her child will ever eat is organic. And no Mcdonalds (even though she loves it). You should have seen the look on her face when l said he likes peanutbutter. She tried to lecture me. I told her to read the current feeding guidelines and that Alexhas been eating solids for a while now. She needs to get off her high horse.
My kid would eat the hell out of that spinach feta thing. Your sister needs to uncork her ass. :P
Organic etc is fine but I think a French fry isn't going to kill a kid. Shoot, Alex has had baked turkey Brie, sweet potato fries & a tiny bit of chicken nugget. He must be doomed.
I went to make myself a drink. Got out the captain and went to the basement fridge to get a can of coke. The empty box is laying on the floor!! Damn you DH. All I have in the fridge is milk and apple juice. I could make iced tea. I don't know how that would taste with captain... FWP!

Our appt was at 9:50. It's 11. I have a hair appt at 12. Sigh.
Our pedi is really good with staying on time...we get called at or before the time and usually are in and out within 30-45 minutes.
