Cloth Diapering

First world problems

My girls are still in their Thirsties duo wrap size 1 covers with prefolds at 6 months (we've definitely gotten our money's worth from them, so they were a great buy). I'm now building our OS stash for when they eventually outgrow the size 1.
So many cover options! Now, to buy two of the same, so I have the option for matching or take advantage of having twins and needing 2x the covers and get one of lots of different covers.
Oh, the dilemma :)
If only my budget would allow for 2x ALL the diapers.

4/25 1st ultrasound at 7 weeks = identical twins with heartbeats?!!!

Re: First world problems

  • I guess it would depend on a few things for me: Do you often match their outfits, or have duplicates of many things for them; and do you like only a few cover styles/colors/prints that'd you'd want doubles of, or do you like so many that you could just get one of lots of different ones? For me personally, since I love so many prints, I'd get one each of many different. But I don't know if I'd be a matching mama if I had twins of the sane sex...

  • I'm not a huge matchy-matchy fan, but you have to have a few duplicates, if for nothing else, a few pictures here and there.

This. Or you could do like the two fox best bottoms patterns so they match but they're not identical. They're both gn IMO. They have 3 different colors for giraffe too.
Yes!  I think I actually like coordinating better than matching.

  • So I seriously have spent an obscene amount of time obsessing over this.  This decision should not have been so hard.

In Best Bottoms, they already have the hedgehog and the purple fox, and then they have a coordinating set of the huckleberry and plum pie.  I decided to order two of the red Very Cherry, and one each of the Lace, Moolicious (my husband liked this one), and Wild Berry.  If I want a matching one, I can order that down the road.  Now, should this have consumed, like, 4 hours of my life? heck no.

They still fit in their Thirsties Size 1 covers, and I ordered a Size 2 set of the lavender birds, but I was kind of disappointed in it -- not as cute as it looked in the picture. Boo.
