Hi everyone  :-)  I am so excited to be joining this group.  On Saturday I got my first BFP after going through my 4th IUI- which was my first IUI with injections.  I go today and tomorrow to have my blood drawn, and I hear back from my RE later on this week to tell me how everything is going.  I was totally not expecting a BFP.  I felt PMS symptoms and just knew I was getting my period again; the positive test was the best surprise ever!   Of course, now I'm nervous about a miscarriage, but I'm trying to be as positive as possible.   Do you guys know what I should be expecting after my blood tests as long as everything goes well?

Again, I'm so glad to be here, and I hope I get to stick around for the whole 40 weeks   :-)

Hi and welcome! I had two betas, and after that the RE didn't see me until about 6 1/2 weeks for my first u/s (so about 2 weeks after my last blood draw was my 1st u/s).

I second what @tippytoes06 said. I had 2 betas one on a monday and the next on that wednesday. Then was told to come back at 6 1/2 to 7 weeks for my first ultrasound.

My advice is be prepared to have cramping. It is completely normal. I had it to the point where it felt like AF cramps and ended up going in a few days earlier than expected for my first ultrasound. Also symptoms come and go so be prepared for that.

Once my beta confirmed, I took pregnancy tests every week until my ultrasound.

Congrats and welcome!  I had 2 initial betas, then a 3rd beta 1 week after the 2nd, then my first US 1 week after the 3rd beta (I was 6 weeks).  I saw a heartbeat at that appointment but you may not see one until closer to 7 weeks.  My RE released me after that US and I've had biweekly appointments with my OB since, through 14 weeks.  Like PPs said, cramps and other weird pulls/twinges/mild pains are normal and for me they come and go.

Welcome and congrats! Similar to PP, I had two betas and then waited about three weeks for first US - my RE likes to wait until they are sure they should see a heartbeat. I was released to the regular OB after that first ultrasound, I think a lot of people are followed by RE a little longer though.

Congrats and welcome! I had betas at 13dpo and 15dpo. Then waited two weeks and had u/s #1 at 6w2d (saw the hb) and u/s #2 at 8w2d. At that point we were released to the OB.

Congrats and welcome aboard!  Your story sounds a bit like mine - 4th IUI was the first with injectables, and that was our lucky one!  After betas at 15 and 17 dpiui, my first u/s was around 6.5 weeks (saw but couldn't hear/measure the heartbeat), second u/s was 2 weeks later at which time we did hear the heartbeat, then I was released to my regular ob/gyn who saw me at 10-ish weeks and every 4 weeks thereafter.  FX for you for great betas!!

Congrats and welcome.  I had a beta once a week -- 12dpo, 18dpo and 25 dpo.  Then I had my first ultrasound a week after that (6w6d).  I have to wait two weeks for ultrasound number 2 though.  I think every doctor is different in how often they see you after a bfp.  FX for great numbers.
