What are you wearing for your maternity shoot??

Our shoot is next weekend, so I guess I need to start thinking about what to wear!  I don't want to do anything black because I feel like it makes my bump look smaller and disappear from the front, and obviously the shoot is to show it off!  And my photographer said to stay away from white.  I was planning to wear a simple white tank with jeans, but now that photographer has put the kibosh on that, I'm stuck.  What are you ladies wearing, or did you wear, for your shoots if you're doing one?

I wore this dress from old navy with a cardigan that I belted above the bump. for our 1st when we were pregnant with DD, I wore a white shirt and dark denim and then changed into a patterned shirt. You couldn't see the bump as well with the white shirt.

I'm thinking a simple maxi dress with some pretty jewelry. It will be in the hot hot Texas summer so I hope I'll stay comfy! GL with whatever you decide!

I wore a really fitted yellow wrap shirt and jeans and then changed into a maxi dress.  Have fun!

letsgobowlingx I'm not sure!  She said you usually can't see the bump as well when you wear white, but we'll see.  I'm still kinda stuck on the white tank idea because I've seen really nice pics with white!  Yours came out very soft and pretty!!

Good suggestions ladies!   Seems like a dress of some sort is the way to go!  I just don't want to show off my swollen ankles too much....hmmmm....As I put it to my friend earlier, my ankles look like balloon animals gone terribly wrong lol.

I wore dark jeans and a white long sleeved top.  I had a long necklace.  DH wore jeans and a plaid shirt that matched my jewelry.  I also did a few with a bow tied around my belly.  My sister did our pictures and she's a graphic designer, not a professional photographer.  I think they turned out good though!

As a photographer (who sometimes does maternity shoots), I second the no prints...definitely distracts. I use a white sheer short robe thing that looks great (non maternity) that we sometimes leave open, along with other types of wraps/drapes that can control the modesty. A lot of photographers will have things available like that - definitely ask. Also, tight fitting is always better so the belly doesn't get lost. Maxi are great too.
