Lite Wraps for newborns?

I was given 8 hand-me-down newborn lite wrap covers. They aren't wipeable so I would imagine they could only be used for one change each before needing to be washed. Has anyone used these before? Do they work well? I had planned on buying six thirsties duo wraps size one snaps but may buy less if the lite wraps are ok.

I also got lite wraps in the small and medium sizes and would love to hear opinions on those, too. I have a few thirsties duo wraps size 2 and a blueberry coverall that are new and am not sure if I should count on the lite wraps working or not.

Thanks!

I don't know what brand you are talking about, but a cover that isn't wipe able can still be reused if it is just a wet diaper, or if poop did not get on the cover. Poop will get on a cover more often with a newborn, but I was very surprised to find that the non-wipeable OS covers I have are my favorite.

  • The Cot'n'Wraps are definitely a one change only cover. The interior is cotton, so it gets quite wet. The Litewrap should be able to be reused, though, as it is a PUL/TPU interior.

I've used both of these in size medium. They were all right - they fit great over bulky fitteds, but I felt that the waist didn't get small enough for my liking. But they were serviceable enough, for sure. They just fit very differently than most of the more popular covers. I would hang onto them and see if they work for you. If you get a good fit with them, there is no reason they wouldn't work just fine.

Here is what Karen from GMD says about them, even though she doesn't carry them anymore:
