imagine vs kawaii for nb

Hi ladies,
I was a cd mom when my ds was still in diapers but now I am trying to get a nb stash together. Boy have I missed you guys.
So really I have two questions.
1. I have 25 prefolds/fitteds and 4 covers. I want to get one more do you think that is enough for 25? (Don't worry I have more AIO and pockets) GMD said 4 was enough but I am worried.

2. I am looking to add some pockets/aio's to our stash and have it narrowed to the kawaii p&n's and imagine AIO nb. Anyone have a comparison for those?

Welcome back! I think I remember your SN from my lurking days when I was KU with my now 18 month old. 

If I had 12 AIOs/pockets and wanted to use prefolds the rest of the time, for the NB days I'd aim for 4-6 covers.  4 would probably get you by, but if you had a really bad poop day you might be hand washing covers in the sink. So I'd get 2 more to be safe.  If your 4 are true itty bitty NB covers, then maybe make the two new ones something that will work for that transition stage between NB and OS.  Like Thirsties Duo size 1, Blueberry mini coveralls, or RaRs NB.

P&Ns. Although I've never used imagine NB, my dd is 8 mos and is just now starting to grow it of p&ns. I've heard imagines have a smaller rise so I'm thinking they might not be used as long.

Imagine AIO's run small and Kawaii won't start to fitl till Lo is in the 10-12 pound range. if you want a good aio for the newborn phase I would suggest the newborn BlueBerry Simplex.

6 would be nice, but since you aren't using only prefolds and covers 4 is enough I would think.

I have no experience with the imagine nb, but like the idea of P&Ns better because you will get more use out of them.

I used imagine AIO till my guy was 3 months old, but he was little. P&N would fit much longer. Personally I would go with imagine, because they were my favorite nb diaper. I feel the quality of them is much higher than the P&N. I guess it depends if you want to use them as true nb diapers or more for in between nb and os.

I have a full os stash so really I just need a nb. Thanks for all your help ladies. I guess I will see which of the 5 places I have a cart of diapers waiting for me has the best deal tomorrow.
