This
is a weekly check-in for members in their third trimester. You can
feel free to join at 28 weeks and we will bid you an excited farewell when you greet your little ones! How far along are you? Upcoming appointments? Any updates to share? How are you feeling?
QOTD: Whatcha doing today? And uh, guys... all our April ladies have had their babies! We're officially now waiting on the May mamas!
1. 36w1d. 2. Feeling okay. Tired and have terrible reflux at night. 3. This week's appt is on Wed. 4. We (DS and I) got to see Little Sister on an impromptu U/S last week. She was so close up. I go back to work tomorrow. 3 more school weeks. QOTD- We are heading over to ILs for Easter. We will be celebrating BILs birthday since he won't be around next weekend.
33 weeks today! Had an appointment on Friday and everything looks good. Next appointment is the week after next. Had a minor freakout on Friday about going into labor early (everything was fine) but I am feeling pretty stressed about my To Do list. I just finished typing up my birth plan so at least I accomplished something today. Our nursery is a complete disaster and I can't put anything away until I buy a dresser to put stuff in, since our room has no closet. Here's a pic:
That's not even everything, I still have piles of baby stuff in other rooms. I don't want to put the car seat in the car yet either since I hear that sunlight and heat make them breakdown faster so I guess it will just be a mess for a long time!
I'm feeling ok. Experiencing the normal 3rd tri symptoms, acid reflux, swollen feet and ankles, peeing a million times at night, rib cage pain, hip pain from sleeping, etc. It's mostly off and on so not too bad.
QOTD: We're going to check out the Easter parade and have lamb for dinner. I'm also trying to catch up on laundry and my baby to-do list.
We are 30 weeks as of yesterday. I have been feeling ok just tired and my hips and back are killing me. We have the week off from appointments this week, so no real new news. Luckily a have the best husband in the world and he has taken up all the slack around the house and babies me as much as he can.
Today we are off the spend the day with family and watch all the kids hunt for eggs. We are very excited that we will have a little one of our own next year to do all the Easter fun with. Hope everyone has a great day and a Happy Easter.
TTC #1 since June 2013

How far along are you? 34w3d
Upcoming appointments? Nothing next week. He weighed 4lbs12oz at our growth scan on Thursday and he is still head down.
Any updates to share? DH and I went to the hospital classes and it is just getting so real. I almost had a panic attack during the hospital tour when we were in the labor and delivery room. We have our last babyshower on Sunday and then finishing the shopping and then it's just a waiting game.
How are you feeling? I just wish I could sleep. Other than that I can't complain this week.
QOTW: we are going to my BIL's for Easter dinner. I just ate Chinese food incase he messes up the turkey I won't be starving. Yeah I have little faith in his cooking skills lol
Morning ladies! Happy Easter for those that celebrate and Woohoo It's Sunday for those that don't!
How far along are you? 30 weeks and some change Upcoming appointments? 4/22 regular OB appt, 5/02 growth scan Any updates to share? I have a feeling my OB is going to take me off at my upcoming appt. I've been doing reduced hours the past three weeks and I'm starting to feel a bit crappier. I don't think I'm going to fight her on this. The babies are doing well and growing big and I'm getting excited about all the stuff I want to do for their nursery. I have a bunch of returns to make first, and I'm not looking forward to that so much! How are you feeling?More and more tired, achy, crampy, etc. QOTD: Whatcha doing today? We celebrate Easter and are heading over to my parent's in about an hour. The guys are all going on a bike ride and I'll help my mom with the cooking. Then I plan to gorge myself and just sit and gestate the rest of the day. It'll be marvelous!
Carolina Elizabeth was born at 9:50 last night, and she is healthy and beautiful, with a head full of red hair! We can't stop staring at our sweet baby girl. I will post a birth story with photos in the next day or two. Thanks to all of you awesome ladies for your support!
5th Pregnancy: Ectopic, 2 doses of Methotrexate unsuccessful, surgery 4/10/12, right tube removed.
Tried Letrozole January 2013-July 2013 (including 2 IUIs), all BFN. After 2 1/2 years of trying for child #2, decided to "give up" after July cycle, based on AMA.
August 16, 2013: BFP our first month of "not trying!" Still in shock. Beta #1 (14dpo): 183. Beta #2 (17dpo): 611. Ultrasound 8/30/13: baby measured 6 weeks, 1 day, heart rate of 118 bpm! Ultrasound 9/13/13: 8 weeks, heart rate of 176! Baby is due 4/26/14
Happy Easter everyone! I hope all are doing well. Congrats @tryingyetagain ! Yay redhead baby!
My sweet baby, Margaret Aldona, arrived on 4/15, shortly after the eclipse! I had an emergency c-section after having an induction (baby's heart rate was falling dramatically when I was pushing so we decided the c-section was the safest course to bring her into the world). She weighed 8lb5oz, 20.5" long, and is just so, so amazing. My heart feels like it's about to burst with love!
33wks/3 dys Next apt is the 29th Nothing new, doc says everything is ok. Feeling more tired and stressed. My stomach is getting more upset making it harder to eat a lot. I just can't gain weight. This was supposed to be my time to eat whatever and I actually eat much less than pre pregnancy. Also having more Braxton hicks and the normal swelling, fingers tingling, peeing a lot, constipation:)
Today we went to church then my parents then IL's. I am feeling super blessed to have these two babies!!
Hi Ladies - Sorry for the late check-in, but I typically don't bump on the weekends. Hope everyone who celebrates had a Happy Easter!
How far along are you? 31w today!! Upcoming appointments? I just had one two days ago. All normal stuff. Belly is measuring right on track at 31cm, baby's HB is right on track in the 130s, my weight gain has gotten a little high but I have a lot of swelling in my ankles and my MW thinks a lot of my weight is probably all that fluid so she's not concerned.Next appointment is on May 3rd, and that's just a check-up. I was also telling her about how the u/s tech at my cervix check 2 weeks ago scared me about GD and told me my baby is big, etc. etc....she was not happy haha! I wasn't complaining about it or anything, just simply telling her what was said to me and she was annoyed that a tech would say things about possible GD and the baby measuring big without consulting the perinatologist first. I didn't even see the actual doctor when I went in for the scan, and the notes from the doctor on the paperwork my MW was looking at all read normal, so there wasn't even anything to tell. Certain parts of baby are measuring on the high side (i.e. baby's belly is measuring in the 89th percentile, but head is 69th percentile, so there's no concern at all because obviously the head is what they care about most as far as birth goes), but it's still all within normal range. Any updates to share? I got approval from my MW to stop working at 36 weeks!!!!! DH said my eyes lit up when she said they would sign off on that haha best day ever! I just have to get my paperwork all filled out. Only 5 more weeks! So excited!!! How are you feeling? I'm feeling good. I have a ton of back pain (read: the reason I'll be signed out of work at 36 weeks) and my ankles are like balloons, but I just keep telling myself that these are all normal things so I can't really complain all that much. I'll take the aches and pains a million times over to continue to be pregnant with this wiggly baby! :-)
QOTD:
Whatcha doing today? Working. Ew. And I say Ew because DH's company is closed today for an extended Easter holiday. WTF! Must be nice! At least he got up this morning and made me lunch :-) I usually work from home on Mondays, but my group has a year-end (ours is March 31st) reporting deadline today, so I decided to come into the office in case anything blew up and I needed to hunt people down. Now that I'm actually here I know nothing will come up and we'll be fine, but if I wasn't here I'm sure something would have happened...you know, Newton's Law.
Me 31 ~ DH 30 IVF/FET #1 - BFP!! CJW 6/15/2014 DX - PCOS 2004 FET #2 - scheduled for 11/24/15
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't anxious and freaking out about being next on the list... I'm pretty overwhelmed at the thought of baby being here so soon!
I'm 38 weeks and 4 days... I am feeling really uncomfortable. I can't breathe and can barely hold myself upright despite gaining 35 lbs (last time I was at 40 and had no discomforts really!). When I lay down to help me breathe easier, the heartburn/acid reflux from hell flares up. I did some stretches a couple of days ago and pulled a muscle in my butt of all places. I can barely walk now! I'm so exhausted that I'm really worried about how I'm going to get through labor!
Next appointment is Wednesday. We are on Easter vacation at work now, and then my maternity leave is effective starting next Monday. So relieved to be done!
Yesterday we went to Mass and then to my mom's house for brunch with my family. I smothered nutella on a croissant and geez, now I can't stop thinking about it!! My nieces and nephews and DD did their egg hunt. It was so cute watching the older kids take the younger ones around. (I have 10 nieces and nephews ranging in age from 17 to 2!) Then we drove out to my ILs for dinner. It was a great day! I love Easter!
DH & I: 29 TTC #1 4/2009 - DD 2/5/10 TTC #2 since October 2011 2IF issues
Hi ladies! congrats to all the new mamas out there!!
Not much to update here - At our regular OB checkup last week, I found out that I failed my 3 hour glucose test (by 3 whole points....), so I now officially have GD. Which sucks. I cried for two days straight, mourning the loss of milkshakes. We have our growth scan on 4-24, and are excited to find out how much the babies have grown. We'll hopefully get a better idea then if baby girl's placenta is causing issues with her growth - she's always measured small, and the high risk OBs are worried her placenta may fail at some point. We also have a 4-hour GD class on 4-24, so that's going to be a very long day of appointments. I'm feeling ok this week, just really run down. I'm going to ask at our appointment this week if the doctor can write me to work 100% from home, since it's becoming really hard to work from the office (at least at home I can keep my feet up!).
I had a call from one of the nice ladies at church over the weekend - the church ladies want to throw us a baby shower, which is super sweet of them.. Since it won't be until May 4th, I asked if they wouldn't mind doing a themed shower (diapers or books), since I just can't wait that long to finish getting things ready in the nursery (I want to finish shopping off our registries this week). So that's another party to look forward to!
QOTD: We spent a nice Easter with DH's family. Went to church, out to lunch, took a long nap in the afternoon, and then his sisters and their families came over for dinner. It was a long day (didn't get home until bedtime), so I am wiped out today!

Wow, congrats to all the April ladies! So exciting!
How far along are you? 36 + 4 Upcoming appointments? Last appointment was on Thursday. U/S tech said baby girl is at 7lb 6oz!!! Already! Everything looks good, next appointment on Thursday! Any updates to share? Not really, just starting to get really ready to have this baby! But also worried about being ready! How are you feeling? A lot more uncomfortable the past week or so. More braxton hicks, and when I lie down the reflux gets really bad to the point where I wake up all through the night and shoot straight up in bed. Not great for sleep!
QOTD: Whatcha doing today? For Easter we went to church and then brunch at a fancy restaurant and then nap! On a side note, our five year anniversary was Friday, and DH got me flowers and a fancy antique tea set (I love tea) and dinner at a romantic restaurant!
Sorry I'm late -- the in-laws were here over the weekend. @katekat8721, thanks for adding me! My EDD is actually 7/13/14. I'm 28w1d.
Can't believe I've moved on to 3rd trimester. I am feeling good, a little heartburn and lower back pain but nothing major. Mr. Baby is super active these days and kicked me so hard yesterday that I could see it through my clothes! We need to get going on the nursery and contact an attorney to draw up wills, power of attorney, etc. My next appointment is 4/30, but it's nothing major.
QOTW: My in-laws came up from NJ. We are not religious but I was raised Episcopal and we do celebrate Easter, but it's just secular for us (nice dinner with the family, chocolate bunnies). We all had dinner with my family, which went pretty well considering the odd cast of characters.
@letsgobowlingx -- stunning pictures! Big congrats to the grads!

Congrats April mamas! Healthy babies are such a cause for celebration!
@letsgobowlingx Your photos are incredible!! What wonderful momentos of this journey!
I'm 32w3d and had my check in with my OB this morning. She is really pleased with baby and my belly and numbers look, but I'm so not thrilled about putting on nearly 5 pounds in the past 2 weeks! I really have not been indulging so I have no idea what the sudden spike is all about, though with how strong this baby's movements have gotten maybe it's all gone to him?? I'm trying to remember that if the doc says all is good then I shouldn't care either, but it's still a bit of a shock to see the numbers on the scale. I had to get measured for a formal gown for a ceremony I have to attend at 36 weeks... thankfully the measurements were taken in cm rather than inches so the numbers felt less real!!
Symptoms are the same as everyone else: heartburn, big ankles, and terribly sore hips. Nothing unbearable though, for which I'm so very grateful. My body is doing its job in letting him thrive, and that's all that matters at this point.

Feeling pretty good but I'm trying to see if theres a pattern for my LO's kicks. Some days she is more active and the days she is not, I worry... Planning to do some cleaning of our closets today with my mom.
